Lipzen capsule is a natural-ingredient formulation prescribed for hypercholesterolemia, hyperlipidemia, arteriosclerosis, atherosclerosis and obesity.

Composition:
Each 500 mg lipzen capsule contains: Purified Asphaltum (Shilajit) 50 mg, Agnimantha satwa (extract of premna integrifolia) 100 mg, Allium sativum (Lasun) 25 mg, Terminalia arjuna (Arjuna) 50 mg,
Tinospora cordifolia (Guduchi) 100 mg, Raphanus sativus (Mulak beej) 100 mg, Glycyrrhiza glabra, (Yastimandu) 25 mg

Pharmacology:

A high level of cholesterol in the blood causes hypercholesterolemia. Cholesterol is a waxy, fatlike substance (lipid) found in the cell membrane that serves as a precursor of bile acids andsteroid hormones. Cholesterol is delivered to the bloodstream by lipoproteins, which are made up of lipids and proteins and are insoluble in water. There are two major types of lipoproteins, LDL‐C and high‐density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL‐C). LDL‐C is considered the ‘bad’ cholesterol because it contributes to atherosclerosis, whereas HDL‐C is considered the ‘good’ cholesterol as it helps remove LDL‐C from the arteries. Total cholesterol levels are the sum of LDL‐C, HDL‐C and triglycerides present in the bloodstream. LDL‐C contributes to the majority (60% to 70%) of the total cholesterol levels. Right amount of cholesterol, helps in the production of sex hormones, building block for human tissues, bile production inthe liver and food digestion.

Directions: 1-2 capsule twice to thrice a day or as directed by physician.

Caution: Avoid fatty food, cheese, processed foods, high-fat milk or yogurt. Minimise the consumption of sweets and cold foods and drinks.

and vomiting.
