Pharmacology: The immune system is a composite of the means by which individual organisms maintain their individual integrity in the face of constant interaction with the environment and the continuous internal process of death and removal of host cells that allows for replacement and growth. Both the innate and adaptive divisions of the immune system are critical to the maintenance of homeostasis, physical integrity, and health.
Intricately interactive pathways of cells, cell surface receptors, antibodies, and cytokines provide surveillance against invasive pathogens and nonself entities and internal destruction and removal of host senescent cells. The specificity and efficacy of these immune components interacting with their respective ligands provide the mechanistic basis of immune function. Several disease conditions occur upon immune dysfunction including immune deficiency, allergy, and autoimmunity. Samak oil contains important herbs such as Sesamum indicum (Til tail), Cinnamomum camphora (Crystal), Trachyspermum ammi (Ajawain tail), Cedrus deodara (Devdaru tail), Mentha spicata (Pudina tail), Syzygium aroamticum (Lawonga tail) and other that have anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial, antifungal, anti- inflammatory immune-modulator properties and has a significant impact on immune system and help to get rid of immunological deficiency and allergies condition as well as alleviate immune system.
According to Ayurveda, an imbalance of the tridosha (vata, pitta, and kapha) causes internal organ malfunction and might affect the immune system, hence Samak oil helps to balance the tridosha. It does not kill infections like antibiotics do, but rather strengthens the body’s immune system to resist disease and infection. It aids in liver function and consequently detoxification.
Muscle pain, inflammation is caused by the activation of particular receptors (known as nociceptors) that detect harmful cell impulses. Strong mechanical stimuli, such as trauma or mechanical stress, can sensitize and activate them, as can endogenous inflammatory mediators including bradykinin (BK), serotonin, and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2).
The active ingredient used in Samak oil may inhibits the synthesis of endogenous mediators via the cyclooxygenase (COX) pathway, resulting in therapeutic effects. Herbs are also efficient as depurative since they renew and purify tissue channels while also improving blood circulation by providing antioxidant activity to injured cells. According to Ayurveda, joint pain and inflammation occurs due to the imbalance in the functional energy or Dosha in the body, known as Vata. This energy is responsible for movement and spaces, which corresponds to the space between the joints. An imbalance in a form of Vata known as Vyanavata can cause circulation problems. As a result, the tissues fail to get nourishment. This leads to wear and tear in the joints causing severe pain. One more form of energy is the Shleshaka Kapha. This helps keep the joints lubricated allowing for smooth movement. Imbalance in the Doshas causes the weakening of the digestive fire. This causes the accumulation of toxins. The toxins are carried to the joints by Vata and they cause pain. The Shleshaka Kapha gets dried up due to the presence of toxins. This affects the lubrication in the joints causing pain. Ayurveda believes that to help manage joint pain, helping to maintain the Dosha is necessary. This can be done through the help of therapies, helping to make dietary and lifestyle changes, and using Ayurvedic herbal supplements. Samak oil contains essential herbs which balance the vata in the body and acts as pain relief oil, Ayurvedic in nature that helps manage joint pain.
